MY HUSBAND RENÉ
He went up in a balloon, my husband.
And he slid down the wet rocks of Bear River in Pennsylvania right under the cantilevers of Falling Water.
He flew to Canada in a private jet with Captain Kirk,
and he played hookey from work to witness both his children being born.
He washed the dog in tomato juice when it was necessary;
He rode his bicycle across the Swiss Alps with his brother. Their father after all was Swiss.
He crossed the ocean on the Queen Mary,
and he could make 2000 people laugh all at once all in the same room.
I remember seeing him in an interview once. He had been asked what accomplishment he was the most proud of. He said, “Being married to my wife Judith.”
